Archimede Project

ISISS MARCO CASAGRANDE

Math's olympic games 2015/2016

Also this year our School joined the XIII Edition of the "Mathematic Games" that took place on Friday, March the 4th 2016 at 3.00pm in the sports Hall in Pordenone. Unlike the last edition, this year 39 teams, including our School's team, formed by eight guys from the Archimede Project who trained hard to give their best, joined the competition. Under the guide of Professors Breda and Zampieri, the students, for two long hours, applied themselves in the resolution of logical, geometrical, algebraic and probabilistic problems, trying to use at best their knowledges, cooperating and helping each other in order to solve the major number of requests in the shorter time possible. The team "Archimede Pieve" finished the competition and placed itself in 16th position, improving last year's performance. The "mathematicians" came back home proud of the result and with more will of training to attend the next edition, confident of improving themselves even more.
